Second school on Quantitative TEM - QEM2009
“La Gaillarde” - St Aygulf, France - 17 to 29 May 2009

Recent years have seen the development of new quantitative techniques in transmission electron microscopy. Objectives of this second QEM workshop are to enable attendants to apply and develop such quantitative techniques in their own laboratories and/or in collaboration with specialist centres for TEM. Ultimately, it hopes to encourage the emergence of an informal network of microscopists across Europe versed in these new techniques.

3D Symposium
Interlaken, Switzerland - 12th to 16th July 2009

Interdisciplinary Symposium of 3D Microscopy The ‘Interdisciplinary Symposium of 3D Microscopy’ is a new movement in the area of microscopy under the guidance of the Swiss Society for Optics and Microscopy. With this symposium, we join in non-parallel sessions all needs for 3D microscopy covering all fields of interest and methods from macro to nano dimensions including image processing. This way, the audience can profit in a correlative way from the experience of other disciplines and fields of interest to generate new input in their own research.

Aula Convegni CNR, Sesto Fiorentino (Firenze), Italy - 24/11/2009
